Governor – Mrs G. Cornes

I joined the Governing body of Consett Junior School in December 2016 and have enjoyed my involvement so far with the school.  I am currently the Deputy Head Teacher at Beechdale Nursery School and have been teaching now for 12 years.  I have a true passion for early years education and outdoor education.   I have also had periods of working within the Early Years advisory team within County Durham to offer support and advice to other settings where and when needed.

I love the outdoors and in my spare time I do like to go on walks, bike rides and camping trips!  I have two children who now love to come on outdoor adventures too!
