Primary Schools are now required to publish alongside their Performance information a list of their childcare provision making it easier for parents to know what is available.
Consett Junior School offers a range of childcare provision, by way of enrichment clubs. Our clubs are shared in advance of each half term via our app. This information allows families to book a place on a club and this place is secured by payment on ParentPay.
Our clubs are changed each half term in order to meet the needs of all of our children, ranging from sports, to nurture to art. Our clubs are run by our staff, who give up their time to do so.
We do not offer childcare. The infant school introduced childcare in 2015 and it means they have an arrangement with parents to collect children from our school and take them to the infant school for childcare. Please be aware that we have no involvement in this childcare arrangement, it has never been a service made by our school. It is purely between the infant school and the family. In 2022 the infant school made changes to this service and now only offer it to families with children in both schools.
