Our Curriculum

This section of our website is focused on our Curriculum and provides an overview of our Curriculum from Year 3 to Year 6.

The Curriculum is all the planned activities that the school organises in order to promote learning, personal growth and development.

It includes not only the formal requirements of the National Curriculum, but also the range of additional opportunities that the school organises in order to enrich the experiences of our children. This includes an ever growing range of opportunities available to our children across all year groups.

Curriculum Plans

We have updated our Curriculum plans for each year group:

Curriculum Overview Year 3

Curriculum Overview Year 4

Curriculum Overview Year 5

Curriculum Overview Year 6

For individual class timetables please see the Curriculum in Action in our classes section of our website.

If you have any questions about our curriculum please contact the school and we will try our best to help you.

Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

At Consett Junior School we believe that inclusive education means providing all pupils with appropriate education and support alongside their peers. The Curriculum is all the planned activities that the school organises in order to promote learning, personal growth and development.  Further information can be found in the SEN Information Report.   If you would like to discuss your SEND requirements in detail please contact the school to arrange an appointment.
