The school has gained recognition over the last three years for Basic Skills Agency Quality Mark 4, the Arts Council Artsmark Gold, The Sports Council Activemark Award, The FA Charter Award, the National Healthy Schools Award and Investors in People.
Consett Junior School is a place where pupils and staff enjoy working and learning together. We have strong links with the local community developed and sustained over many years which we are now setting to expand and develop.
Regular visits and visitors to the school over the years enable relationships to be built with staff and pupils and enhance the learning opportunities for all.
