Dear Parents, Friends and families,
I just want to write to say how very grateful we all are at Consett Junior School, by your amazing generosity; as you can imagine on Thursday evening we were all pretty depressed by the scene on the school yard. Yet since Kyla Clarke, one of our lovely Y5 Parent’s set up the Go Fund page, we’ve been blown away by the kind donations and offers of help. As I write this message the donations are over £3000, truly amazing.
Obviously as someone who lives in the community, I know how generous you all are, with time and help you show towards, not just school but our community – I have to say for once, I’ve been left speechless by the kindness shown.
So can I please thank you all for your kind donations and offers of support, we will of course make sure the Cabin is rebuilt, more splendid than before…but this time it means more, as it will all most certainly be rebuilt with the community fully behind it. A huge thanks to Kyla for her idea to set up the fund raising page, it shows our community in the very nicest way.
Please do thank those people who may not have our school app, we are so very grateful to you and all their help. Hopefully, when the world returns to normal, we will welcome you all into our school to share a fun afternoon with the children and staff.
As always, please stay safe and thank you all.
